Obituary for Jack L. Wilson

Wilson, Jack L., 89, of Pine Grove, WV died Friday, November 02, 2012 at the New Martinsville Care and Rehabilitation Center in New Martinsville.

Jack was born September 15, 1923 in Hastings, WV son of the late Isaac and Minnie Robinson Wilson. He graduated from Tyler County High School in 1943 in the same class with his future wife Rosamond McHenry. He was the captain of the basketball team in his senior year.

He was a retired shift leader for CNG, member of Shortline Lion’s Club, a fifty year member of the Wetzel Lodge No. 39 A.F. & A.M. in New Martinsville, enjoyed wood working and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where he held several positions.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his much loved wife of 67 years, Rosamond, five brothers, Ray Wilson, Paul Wilson, Don Wilson, Robert Wilson and infant brother, Isaac Wilson, Jr.; four sisters, Helen Springer, Freda Swisher, Ester Long and Mildred Wayne.

Surviving are his son, Steven L. Wilson of Pine Grove, brother-in-law David McHenry currently living in Salem; special children Ben Hanlan, Kalin Hanlan and Brandon Hanlan and several nieces and nephews.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Williams Funeral Home, 226 N SR 20, Pine Grove, WV. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Pastor Al Flaitz officiating.

Interment in Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Hastings, WV.

Full Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Wetzel Lodge No. 39 A.F. & A.M.
