Obituary for Jerry Wayne Southerly Sr.

Southerly, Sr., Jerry W., 61, of Paden City, WV died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, WV.

Jerry was born April 27, 1953 in Kenna, WV son of the late Paul A. and Mary Ellen (Wolfe) Southerly, Sr.

He was a retired security guard for the WV Department of Corrections, member of New Martinsville Volunteer Fire Dept., and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Zachary Taylor; siblings, Mary K. Lewis and Paul E. Southerly, Jr.; brother-in-law, Chad Chambers and nephew, Steven W. Southerly.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Mullinex Southerly; three children, Paula (Steve) Taylor, Jerry (Liz) Southerly, Jr. and Carl (Mickey) Southerly; siblings, Steven (Lou) Southerly, Rita Chambers and Janice (Roger) Hall; half siblings, Paul A. (Jennett) Southerly, Jr. and Jean (Steve) Cox; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Jerry's request there will be no service. He left behind many friends and touched so many hearts and always made sure he had time for all those he met.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Jerry's name, to the Zachary Taylor Irrevocable Trust Fund by stopping by any WesBanco Bank.
