Kenneth G. Goddard, 80, of Jacksonburg, WV died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his home.

Kenny was born September 9, 1934 on Lowman Ridge, in Wetzel County, WV son of the late Clarence and Jennie Belle (Starkey) Goddard.

He was founder and owner of R & K Goddard’s in Pine Grove for thirty-five years, member of Shortline Lion’s Club, received an award for the most tire sales from Wholesale Tires in 1997, in 1965 he worked at the former Bridgeman Bros and in six months sold the most cars and received an award from Ford Motor Company, he loved cars and a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Pine Grove.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Sell) Goddard; four sisters, Alice Henthorn, Jessie Cain, Lycindia Byard and Ruby Johnson; two brothers, John Goddard and Boyd Goddard.

Surviving are care giver and special friend, Jennifer Shuman and her daughters and helpers, Emily and Ashley Shuman; a special young man whom he helped to raise, Wesley Shuman; brother, Floyd Goddard of Sea Bring, FL; Mary (Earl) Huggins of Wileyville, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At his request there will be no service.

Private interment in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Hastings, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Kenny’s name, to Journey Hospice, 314 S Wells St., Sistersville, WV 26175.
