Ellen L. (Bassett) Highley, 74, of Reader, WV passed away at Wheeling Hospital on Saturday, August 20, 2016.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Esta (Spencer) Bassett; husband of fifty-one years, Charles “Wimp” Highley; three brothers, Howard, Jerry and Eddie Bassett and a sister, Wilma “Jean” Highley.

Surviving are her seven children, Gary (Cathy) Highley, Jamie (Julie) Highley, Tammy (Mike) Lemasters, Marvin Highley, Benny (Tammy) Highley, Carol (Russell) Walls all of Reader, WV and Robert (Kathy) Highley of Pine Grove, WV; twenty-four grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins and several fur grandbabies.

Friends received 2-8 Monday, August 22, 2016 at the Williams Funeral Home, 12750 Shortline Hwy, Pine Grove, where services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2016 with Pastor Jerry Kuhens.

Interment to follow in the Straight Cemetery in Crows Run near Reader, WV.
