Obituary for Shelby Ann Titus
Shelby A. Titus, 56, of Pine Grove, WV died Wednesday, October 11, 2017 as the result of an automobile accident.
Shelby was born September 18, 1961 in New Martinsville, WV, daughter of John and Mary (Starkey) Titus.
She was the Chief Tax Deputy for the Wetzel County Sheriff, a graduate of Valley High School and West Liberty University – graduating with honors. Animals had a special place in her heart, especially her cats. She was a wonderful mother who was always there, loved spending time with her family and in the garden. A hard worker and a great help to her father and mother.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dave and Myrtle Starkey and paternal grandparents, John and Audra Titus.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Chris Larew) Frye of Tunnelton, WV; two brothers, Dave “Buddy” (Patty) Blake of Duffy, OH and John (Connie) Titus of Pine Grove, WV; sister, Marlene Winans of Pine Grove, WV; granddaughter, Georgia Larew; six aunts, three nieces, and four nephews and several cousins.
Friends received 2-8, Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the Williams Funeral Home in Pine Grove, where service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, October 16, 2017.
Interment to follow in Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Hastings, WV.
Memorial contributions may be, in Shelby’s name, to WVU Children’s Hospital, 1 Medical Center Dr., Morgantown, WV 26506.
