Freda “Pat” Lou Surgeon, 79, of Pine Grove, WV died Monday, January 22, 2018 while at Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV.

Pat was born March 24, 1938 in Piney, Wetzel County, WV; daughter of the late Leroy Guy and Lillian Pearl (Judge) Cunningham.

She was a retired factory worker for Owens Illinois Glass in New Jersey, a former beauty salon owner of shops in Clarksburg and Glennville and she attended church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Surgeon; two brothers, Bill Cunningham and Bob Cunningham and a sister, Pauline “Peggy” Crane.

Surviving are her son, Franklin “Bud” (Pam) Cunningham of Piney, WV; two daughters, Brenda (Pete DeNagy) Meany of Frisco, TX and Margaret Phillips of New Jersey; two brothers, Jack (Sharon) Cunningham of Knoxville, PA and Norman “Dude” (Mary) Cunningham of Wytheville, VA; sister, Betty Ruth Stormick of Fairmont, WV; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Freda’s request there will be no services.

Interment in the Cunningham Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
