Obituary for Gracie Lee Smith (Rice)

Gracie Lee Smith, 66, of Smithfield, WV died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 while at Genesis Salem in Salem, WV.

Gracie was born December 29, 1949 in Wayne County, WV, daughter of the late Charles and Pauline (Hensley) Rice.

She was a homemaker, loved growing flowers and a Protestant by faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Rice (2009).

Surviving are her husband, Ray Smith; son, Eric Smith both of Smithfield, WV; three brothers, Charles Rice, Don Rice and Walt (Cathy) Rice all of Kentucky; six sisters, Brenda (“J.R.”) McDavid, Judy (Jim) Meadows and Vina Miller all of Kentucky, Carol (Jeff) Ison of Ohio, Kathy Rice and Faye (David) Adkins both of Kentucky and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 3-8 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Williams Funeral Home, 12750 Shortline Hwy, Pine Grove where service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016 with Jerry Kuhen officiating.

Interment to follow in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Hastings, WV.
