James C.  Goontz
James C. Goontz, 82, of Pine Grove, WV died Monday, February 12, 2018 in Davisville, WV.

Jim was born August 15, 1935 in Pine Grove, WV; son of the late Grant L. and Wilma B. (Wise) Goontz.

He was a retired welder for the former Ormet Corp; he enjoyed golfing, fishing and family vacationing and is a member of the Pine Grove Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Goontz.

Surviving are his wife of sixty years, Mavis (Mayfield) Goontz; son, Jim (Tina) Goontz of Parkersburg, WV; daughter, Debbie (Jon) Lane of Reno, OH; brother, Robert “Bob” (Charlet) Goontz of Pine Grove, WV; grandson, Nathaniel (Caitlin) McDougle of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; two nephews, Rob (Donna) Goontz and “L.G.” Larry (Jackie) Goontz; two nieces, Lisa (Brian) Feldmeier and Gina Marie (Nik) Zirounis and several cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Williams Funeral Home in Pine Grove, WV where service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018 with Dale Dudgeon officiating.

Interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Jim’s name, to Pine Grove Christian Church.
